Artists on Antisemitism III at the Osher Marin JCC
Artists on Antisemitism III is a survey of Jewish artists’ responses to the current global surge in antisemitism.
Considering the arc of the Jewish calendar during which this show is present at the JCC, the art has been curated to align with the themes of this season. The pieces in this exhibit collectively tell the story of coming out from Egypt; as the Jewish people travel from the narrow to the wide, from slavery to freedom.

About my artwork Star Amulet:
The Star of David lies at the heart of this work—not just as a symbol of heritage, but as a vessel of memory, protection, and transformation. I am drawn to it not solely for its religious significance, but for the way it gathers layers of meaning across time, space, and identity.
It is a thread connecting generations, a quiet talisman of resilience. I explore its geometry and history through painting, sculpture, and mixed media, allowing it to evolve beyond fixed iconography. Sometimes it emerges as a fractured relic, sometimes as a glowing presence, always hovering between the sacred and the personal.
This work reflects on the ways we carry symbols—how they protect us, define us, and change with us. The Star of David, for me, is both shield and mirror: it holds the weight of exile, the light of return, and the question of belonging.
In a world where identity is often fragmented, I see this amulet as a steady pulse—a six-pointed anchor in motion.
